Submitting From the Field
Technicians can log work and create service requests directly from the field—no desk required. Everything submitted flows into NORDVEST so the service manager always has a current picture of what's been done.
The Mobile App is currently in Beta testing now. Contact us for access.
Recording Work From the Field
When a job is complete, the technician submits a work log directly from their mobile device:
- Open NORDVEST on your phone or tablet
- Navigate to the Service for the job you just completed
- Tap Record Work
- Fill in what was done—notes, components used, time on-site
- Submit
The submission is immediately visible to the service manager in the Work Submissions queue.
Tip: You don't need to wait until you're back at the office. Submit while the details are fresh.
Work Submissions — The Service Manager's View
Every work log submitted from the field lands in the Work Submissions page. This gives the service manager a single place to review, approve, and finalize field work.
From Work Submissions, a service manager can:
- See all pending work logs waiting for review
- Review what the technician recorded—notes, components, time
- Approve and close the linked Service
- Follow up with the technician if something looks off
Work Submissions keeps field activity from falling through the cracks and gives the office a clear record before a service is finalized.
Syncing
NORDVEST is built to be used in the machine rooms where there's no cell service. Everything is synced to your phone but we also built it so you just have to hit "sync" from the home screen and that will submit your work and get the latest changes from the office.
